Company Profile
KRAM ENGINEERING was established in 1996 by Ferdi Barnard, an extraction metallurgist, and specializes in non-metallic wear resistant materials for mining, petrochemical, power generations building, cement and other related industries.
Apart from the Administrative Division, the company is divided into two operating divisions, i.e. the Sales and Contracting Divisions.
After successfully managing the Company for a fruitful 11 years Ferdi appointed Chris de Bruin as the new Managing Director of the company. Chris, the company's former Sales Director is another extraction metallurgist, with over 15 years experience in wear resistant linings.
The Sales Division is supported by Phillip vd Merwe, who joined the company in 2003, Heinrich Huyser, who joined in 2007, Ferdi Barnard, Chris de Bruin, and Letsosa Matona.
The Contracting Division is managed by Koos Pretorius, who is assisted by Wynand Lubbe and Joseph Masikhwa. Koos runs the in-house workshop and quality control areas, while Wynand and Joseph are in charge of our field installation teams within the Gauteng and surrounding areas and Limpopo. Our Contracting Division employs a team of installation experts, some with over 20 years experience in wear lining installations, and has further bolstered with the appointment of Wayne Sutherland as the Safety Officer.
This division is also fully equipped for site installation work, with 1 to 3 ton vehicles and trailers ready to be on site in the shortest period of time.
The Company's Admin Division is managed by Elna Lombard, who is assisted by 2 admin clerks. The Admin Division is responsible for the sourcing of material, job costing and wages.
All the company finances are handled and managed by Elize Crous, who is also a Director of the company.
The success and rapid growth of Kram Engineering over the fifteen years has been due not only to its ability to supply an end product which is technologically superior and professionally installed, but also to its professional and loyal staff in all its departments.
The Company became BEE compliant during 2006 through Anglo American's Zimele Empowerment Initiative. Letsosa Matona has joined us as New Business Development Director and concentrates mainly on Eskom projects, operations and the human resources divisions. Letsosa's academical background is Cost and Management Accounting and Business Management.
The Company currently occupies a workshop consisting of 750m² of under roof working area and 250m² office space, with a laydown area of 800m².
The company is situated in Unit 5 Jet Industrial Park, 12 Harold Flight Road, Jet Park, Boksburg.
